Fee Structure for Setting up a Self Managed Super Fund
Fund Establishment
The cost to set up your own SMSF is $495 AUD including GST. This includes trust deeds, minutes and resolutions, member applications, trustee consents, investment strategy and business registrations (ABN, TFN, Complying Fund Registration, GST and PAYG if applicable). We will also provide you with the forms to request rollovers from public/other funds. Please refer to the page‘setting up a SMSF’ for further details.
Full Annual Administration Service
Insight Super offers a fixed fee for an all inclusive annual administration service. Your annual administration service includes the following:
- Transaction processing and preparation of operating statement, statement of financial position, notes to the accounts and members statements. We use BGL Simplefund Software.
- Preparation and lodgement of fund income tax and regulatory return
- Preparation of annual minutes and statutory documents
- Annual audit performed by our auditor.
- Our Fees are based on the number of investments held as at year end in accordance with the following table.

* These fees may increase if there is a significant amount of share trading during the year and little investments on hand at the end of the year. If in doubt please contact our office for a quote before proceeding.
* Fees do not include actuarial certificates. If your fund requires an actuarial certificate please add $275 including GST for a tax exempt percentage report. If you require a capital adequacy report please contact our office for a quote.
* Audit fees will be increased if compliance breaches are identified.
Custom Annual Administration Service
If you would like Insight Super to attend to your annual administration and tax lodgements but would prefer for your own accountant to complete the audit please contact us for pricing.
Pension Start Up
Preparation of documents for the commencement of Simple Super Account Based Pensions costs $330 ( AUD including GST). Additional fees may apply if interim accounts need to be prepared for the fund.
SMSF Consulting Services
SMSF assistance, advice, and consulting services including assistance with SMSF Borrowing Arrangements will be charged at our regular hourly charge out rates. Please contact our office for details of our current rates.
